Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Leaders Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Nelson Mandela

On Thursday, July 18 the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) and Congressional leaders celebrated the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela on the global leader’s 95th birthday. The day also marked the international celebration of Mandela Day, where in honor of Mr. Mandela’s 67 years of fighting for the rights of all people, individuals are asked to dedicate 67 minutes of their time to service in their local communities or to a charity.  The ceremony was held in Emancipation Hall at the United States Capitol Visitor Center.
