TransAfrica staff are highly sought after speakers, able to address a range of topics. Send a detailed email, indicating the date, time, topic, information on the size and knowledge level of your audience, information on the availability of audio visual equipment, along with the name of the speaker that you are requesting.
• Nicole C. Lee, Esq., President
An inspirational and dynamic speaker, Ms. Lee’s interests focus on human and political rights in Africa and the Diaspora. Ms. Lee speaks about the connections between our foreign policy and the US political process. and the Caribbean. Ms. Lee has lived in Haiti and South Africa.
• Joia Jefferson Nuri, Chief of Staff and Communications Director
Ms. Nuri communicates the organization’s message to communities around the world. Ms. Nuri has worked in various media outlets for close to thirty years. She is currently researching and writing a book on religion in America.
• Melinda Miles, Director of Let Haiti Live Project
Ms. Miles oversees and develops TransAfrica program as it relates to Haiti. Ms. Miles is founder of the Let Haiti Live Project and is an expert on developing civic organizations.
• Mwiza Munthali, Public Outreach Director
Mr. Munthali oversees and develops the educational programs and represents TransAfrica in many public forums, addressing a wide-range of Africa related issues.
• Nora Rasman, Latin America and Caribbean Policy Interim Director
Ms. Rasman’s area of focus is the impact of U.S. foreign policies on African descendents in the Latin America and Caribbean region. Prior to her time at TransAfrica, Ms Rasman was a member of Groundwork Anti-Racism Collective, a Unitarian youth and young adult anti-racism organizing initiative.
