Celebrate UN Human Rights Day With TransAfrica

“Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” Film Screening and Reception

TransAfrica is hosting a special film screening event of "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" on Tuesday, December 10 at Gallery Place Stadium Theater. Join us for the movie at 6:30 P.M. and the reception afterwards at Clyde's 7th Street Parlour.

The film, starring Idris Elba and Naomie Harris, is based on the autobiography of Nelson Mandela. It spans the life of Madiba -- from his early years with the ANC, fighting for equality, to his release from prison and the continued struggle for equal rights for black South Africans. The movie shares a message of unity and perseverance -- two characteristics both Madiba and TransAfrica believe in deeply -- by delving into the lives of Mandela and those closest to him during the anti-apartheid movement.

Celebrate UN Human Rights Day with TransAfrica and this film that epitomizes the human rights struggle. Following the movie, join us downstairs at Clyde's for cocktails, canapes and conversation.
