The Manuscripts of Timbuktu examines the life of one of Africa's greatest scholars - Ahmed Baba - and the ancient manuscripts from one the ancient worlds' preeminent centers of learning.

Beautifully shot on location in Timbuktu, this dramatization of the life of Ahmed Baba brings to the fore his revolutionary and unwavering attitude as well as his written works, an inspiration to all.

Our screening will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Mwiza Munthali – the Public Outreach Director of TransAfrica – the oldest and largest African American human rights and social justice advocacy organization.

Suggested $10. Free popcorn and refreshments provided.
