Random Acts of Kindness – A Documentary of Giving (2008, 55 min), by Robin Adams & Danielle Koon – chronicles the travel experiences of DC entrepreneur, Juanita “Busy Bee” Britton, after she had a life transforming dream. This powerful experience compelled her to travel with a crew of filmmakers, writers, photographers and a few friends to South Africa, Swaziland and Senegal for two weeks on a mission of random acts of kindness to women and children in rural areas. The mission became so inspiring that the entire crew began to share and experience the power of giving. This film is not to be missed!

Our Journey to South Africa (2012, 8 min), by Lawrence Green – In the summer of 2011, Lawrence Green, Producer and Director of Time Traveling Media, along with his wife, mother, and cousin embarked on a journey to South Africa for vacation.  For nearly two weeks, the group traveled along the coast of Cape Town, visited museums and townships in Johannesburg, and encountered wild animals in Pilanesburg.  With his camera in tow, Lawrence Green set out to capture the experience.

After our screening, we’ll be led in our discussion by filmmakers and DC residents – Robin Adams and Lawrence Green.
